What is the usual cost of Luan Plywood Pricing? That's a difficult question to ask, however Luan is a relatively inexpensive plywood product. It's pricing for the sheets in the 1/4 inch thickness usually run for $15 dollars range per sheet.

History of Luan Plywood and Production

Laun panel manufacturing began over 40 years ago in Japan, Korea, and Taiwan. In the Home Renovation and Construction Industry. Plywood, in general, from a select few tropical countries such as Philippines, Indonesia and Malaysia, is classified as Luan Plywood. The species of wood which is used is from the Phillippines, it has a traditional name, called Lauan, however it is commonly called Luan Plywood. It can also go by the name Meranti, or also Philippine Mahogany.

Plywood of a select size, between 1/8 inchs and 1/4 inches, of a tropical variety is usually referred to as Luan Plywood. It is, in general, used for underlayment over subflooring for different finished flooring looks including Laminate, Vinyl, Tile, Carpet, and Hardwood.
